Thank you for taking us along! It has been too many years since I visited London.

Would love to see it again someday.

The image of the hawk killing the pigeon is incredible. What a sight!

Tony Ray-Jones was amazing. Better than MP IMHO

It did really make me want to get a photobook. MP has a LOT of those.

Thanks, I really enjoyed this. As a student in Edinburgh in the, eeek, 80s, I used to go down to London on the overnight bus if there was an exhibition on I wanted to see, wander round Covent Garden (The Photography Gallery, the Africa Centre) and head back on the next night bus. Cheap and not at that age exhausting. Early morning city used to be great. I'm always amazed these days just how full the centre always is with tourists.

I've still never done the overnight bus, but I'm tempted. It's all so very stimulating! Just need to get away from the mega tourist areas.

Looks like a very positive day indeed 👍

I read many negative comments about the capital.

Great photo collection.

You've captured the day so well. I love an 'inspiration jaunt' to London. My next one is in July when I've booked a tour to see the Space House and a couple of exhibitions.

Thank you!

I thought you were talking about Jencks's Cosmic House, but Space House looks more up your street! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_House

I love the way you have taken the first three photographs.

Thank you! They are the only ones taken purely as photographs (the light!) rather than for their content.

A wonderful wander through the city. The morning light is magical and I love that fairy tale view from St James’s Park, which disintegrates if you try to approach it.

Thank you! That view from St James’s Park was so surprising, I had never seen anything like it before. Really want to know what buildings are involved.

I will try again to figure it out next time I am in the area. It’s an elusive task, but perhaps it’s not impossible!
