This month I wanted to try something different on the podcast. There's no guests. I have instead taken excerpts from an interview I was listening to and added commentary.
Podcasts, at least interview podcasts, can be too friendly, too genial, too relaxed. You need a little bit of spikiness sometimes and this is what you get with Nir Eyal and Johann Hari. They disagree, don't put on annoying podcast voices, and reveal a lot about what they really think.
Their debate, on attention and big tech, is also the subject of this week’s blog post.
