There is an extensive, and lucrative, subgenre of books - the [profession holder]'s wife. Eg the blacksmiths wife, the assassins wife and so on. There are hundreds of these books. I feel Laura could write The Apocalyptian's Wife and have a bestseller by Christmas 2023.
I just dove in and have asked the AI a couple of questions! I am impressed but not super impressed based on my limited interaction with the AI. What was enlightening for me was a conversation I had a with a computer science lecturer from New Zealand who told me that they are already planning how to pose assignments on the assumption that students will use tools like chatgpt to help them! And he took an hour to catch out the AI on a coding task!
Yeah, it never goes super in-depth — not that different from kids copying wikipedia maybe? The code stuff is great. Maybe I am lacking imagination, but I suspect that like DALL-E, it might be additive rather than transformative.

Thanks for introducing me to all this tech and explaining it so clearly! 🙏
You're welcome. Have you tried it yet? Or will you?
karyim.keane is me, Steph, btw, Neil!
I am intending to try it! First I need to set aside a chunk of time to go through the chatgpt Quickstart guide :|
