The Week in Photos (14-20 September 2024)
I have been thinking about Glasgow’s brutalist architecture this week, spurred on by the new exhibition at GCHT, and was inspired to create a tour and interview Rachel Loughran.
Is what I do wild research? It definitely isn’t academic, many of whom gathered at The Revelator to discuss ideas without having to deal with bureaucracy. Sad to see how battered they were by the current system.
Such a wonderful venue yet somehow freezing despite the heatwave.
I use social media as a place to experiment and see what grabs attention. This cool student at the start of term got a lot of likes.
Sonica started in Glasgow this week and I have been impressed by the range of things on offer. I highly recommend the VR opera Songs for a Passerby at Offline …
Andrey Chugunov’s installation in the Mercat Cross …
… and Tolbooth Steeple, both places that are usually locked up.
Even the Lighthouse has reopened, with this side on piano which picks up electromagnetic signals.
Laura asked me to take a casual portrait photo for a website. I liked this one.
